Facilitator Training

Learn to facilitate individuals and groups, with compassion and intension, in this 9-month course. The Facilitator Training courses and groups are about personal, professional and spiritual growth. They are for any adult who is ready to see deeper, move beyond the norm, feel more and think less. They are for couples and teams needing to improve communication. They are for parents and teachers who want to create a meaningful relationship with children. They are for individuals who desire to relate with meaning and purpose.

Facilitation is a unique blend of listening and interacting that is the foundation for many in the helping professions. If facilitation seems familiar to you, it may be that your therapist uses some level of facilitation skills in his/her practice. It is not, in itself, a counseling or a therapeutic modality. Rather, a facilitator listens generously and with compassion, and without bias or judgment, which allows your sacred inner wisdom to emerge to help you solve your issues.

Facilitation is successful because people young and old long to be heard deeply, understood fully, and accepted for who they truly are. A session with a facilitator is an alternative to therapy and traditional counseling; it promotes health and healing, personal responsibility, and unlimited possibilities. These skills can also be learned over time and put into practical use by parents, teachers, managers, therapists and many many others.

Registration is being accepted for the fall session of Facilitator Training. If you ever wanted to participate in this group, now is the time. The upcoming class will be a maximum of 15 adults, meeting 10 hours each month from September 2007 - May 2008.

This class is about learning to access your inner wisdom, and pay attention to what is happening above and below the surface of consciousness. You will learn to facilitate yourself, other individuals and groups, utilizing experiential exercises as well as ample practice time. You will learn effective listening and communication skills in a safe and supportive environment. Individuals and couples are welcome.
