The Facilitator Training (FT) class is for:

Facilitation is a unique blend of listening and interacting that is the foundation for many in the helping professions. If facilitation seems familiar to you, it may be that your therapist uses some level of facilitation skills in his/her practice. Facilitation is not, in itself, a counseling or therapeutic modality. Rather, a facilitator listens generously and with compassion, and without bias or judgment, which allows your sacred inner wisdom to emerge to help you solve your own issues.

Facilitation is successful because people young and old long to be heard deeply, understood fully, and accepted for who they truly are. A session with a facilitator is an alternative to therapy and traditional counseling; it promotes health and healing, personal responsibility, and unlimited possibilities. These skills can also be learned over time and put into practical use by parents, teachers, managers, therapists and many, many others. Registration is being accepted for the fall session of Facilitator Training. If you ever wanted to participate in this group, now is the time. The next class starts in the fall 2011.

This class is about learning to access your inner wisdom, and pay attention to what is happening above and below the surface of consciousness. You will learn to facilitate yourself, other individuals and groups, utilizing experiential exercises as well as ample practice time. You will learn effective listening and communication skills in a safe and supportive environment. Both individuals and couples are welcome.

Graduates of the Facilitator Training course are invited to participate in an FT Alumni Process Group, which meets once per month at People House. The purpose of this group is to provide a venue for alumni to practice their facilitation skills as well as be facilitated, if they choose. As always, individuals participate at the level they choose and may be a "silent" member of the group. Membership in the FT Alumni Process Group is by registration only; it is not a drop-in group. There is no charge for this group at this time, but donations to People House are encouraged and always welcome. Please contact Carole for reservations and to obtain the current schedule.

Adult women of any age are invited to participate in a Women's Support Group that Carole facilitates on two Thursday evenings per month on the southeast side of town. A long term (3 month) minimum commitment is required. Please contact Carole for reservations and to obtain the current schedule.

Facilitator: Carole Adams offers private sessions with individuals and couples, and is available to facilitate your group. She also offers various classes and group opportunities.
