Affordable Counseling Internship Program
You are invited to apply for an unpaid, clinical internship placement with us if you are a Master's level student in counseling, psychology or marriage and family therapy. Our internship program is a clinical training program with emphasis in applying theoretical knowledge gained from academic training to the real-world experience of working with a client directly. Interns serve in the People House Affordable Counseling Program, our out-patient, psychotherapy practice, which serves a diverse population unable to afford regular priced psychotherapy. For information, please visit the internship program information page.
Response to Recent Mass Shootings
People House is responding to the recent mass shootings by continuing to offer free individual crisis counseling to those affected by the tragedies at both People House in Denver and People House East in Aurora. Individual Counseling: Mental health counselors are available to provide three to five free sessions of crisis counseling at both the Denver and Aurora locations. Appropriate referrals will be made if further treatment is desired or needed. Those affected by the shootings can call 303-480-5130 to make an appointment to see a mental health counselor.
